Noel update

TinCaps center fielder Rico Noel left Sunday's game with South Bend with a right thigh injury.

He made a full sprint trying to chase down a Keon Broxton fly ball in the top of the inning and slammed into the video board located on the left-center field wall. Noel stayed on the ground for a few moments. He remained in the game for the top of the fifth, but was lifted for a pinch hitter in the bottom of the inning.

"He hit the wall pretty hard," Flores said. "His right thigh might be a little bruised. I know it is definitely sore. Not sure what they have in mind right now. We'll find out here in the next day or so."

Flores noted that outfielder Everett Williams is nearing a return from an injury.
