Former Souder aide seeks Borror seat

The district director for former Rep. Mark Souder announced Thursday he will seek the Indiana House seat vacated by Rep. Randy Borror, R-Fort Wayne.

Derek Pillie, who has worked in the congressional district office since 2000, said the race gives him an opportunity to use his experience and desire to help the community.

He joins County Commissioner Bill Brown and former Fort Wayne Community Schools board member Jon Olinger in the race for the District 34 seat.

The caucus of about 50 precinct officials will be at 10 a.m. July 31 at GOP Headquarters in downtown Fort Wayne.
