David Franke comfirmed to me today that Matt Syroczynski is retiring, at the tender age of 27.
On the one hand, that's a shame, because Syro seems to have a lot of hockey left in him. His 30 goals in 48 games were second only to Leo Thomas during the regular season, and he was the man in the playoffs, with 11 goals in 12 games.
On the other hand, he apparently has himself set up well in business back home. So good for him.
