Fans can mark their calendars for the return of one of college football’s most intense rivalries.
Dates have been set for a three-game series between Notre Dame and Miami, according to multiple reports.
The series will kick off with a neutral site game in Chicago’s Soldier Field on Oct. 6, 2012, and the Irish will play host to the Hurricanes on Oct. 8, 2016 and travel to south Florida on Nov. 25, 2017.
The Miami Herald first reported the game dates Wednesday.
Notre Dame leads the all-time series 15-7-1, but the teams have not played since 1990. The teams played every season from 1971-85.
