Muse for ‘Soup Nazi’ reopens in New York

– The soup stand that inspired the Soup Nazi episode on “Seinfeld” reopened in New York City on Tuesday, six years after its famously brusque owner shut it down and licensed his recipes to a franchising company.

Soup chef Al Yeganeh no longer owns or operates the store, but company officials say he remains deeply involved in the business.

‘Damages’ finds home on DirecTV

“Damages,” the award-winning legal thriller, has won a reprieve after three low-rated seasons on FX, which was expected to cancel it.

DirecTV and Sony Pictures Television announced Monday that the series will return for 20 episodes spanning two seasons. Glenn Close, Rose Byrne and other stars will return for the new episodes, which will air exclusively on DirecTV’s satellite service.
