A man robbed the Etna Green branch of PNC Bank on Friday morning, and Kosciusko County police are seeking the publics help in finding him.
Police had received numerous tips as of Friday evening from within the department and from callers across the county, spokesman Sgt. Chad Hill said.
The robber entered the bank branch just before 9:30 a.m., the county sheriffs department said in a statement. No weapon was displayed.
Police described the bandit as a thin-to-skinny white man between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-11. He had dark hair and was wearing a dark T-shirt and blue jeans. The getaway vehicle might be a maroon or black 2008 Chevrolet Silverado pickup with a black ladder rack in the bed. Police believe it was stolen earlier Friday from a Warsaw business.
As officers were responding, a possible suspect vehicle carrying two men was seen going east on Old Road 30 near County Road 600 West, east of Atwood. The vehicle disappeared near County Road 525 West.
The sheriffs department used police dogs to search the Etna Green area, with assistance from state troopers and an Indiana State Police plane. Detectives found evidence south of the bank that the robber might have removed his hat and shirt after the robbery.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Kosciusko dispatch center at 574-267-5667 or the anonymous tip line at 574-372-2494.
Police from the town of Bourbon and the Marshall County Sheriffs Department also assisted at the scene.
