Rincon warming up

Edinson Rincon had two of Fort Wayne's four hits in Sunday's 3-0 victory against Burlington.

As the weather has warmed, so has Rincon's bat.

The third baseman/designated hitter batted .326 in June with three home runs and 15 RBI. He is batting .313 in July with three home runs and 12 RBI coming into this series.

"He's in a position now where I think he is more comfortable day in and day out and recognizing what pitches they are trying to get him out with and laying off those pitches," TinCaps manager Jose Flores said.

Rincon has a .270 batting average.
