INDIANAPOLIS -- The best thing about coming to the Speedway on a race day -- the 500 or the 400 -- is who tends to show up, pretty much out of nowhere.
Today it was Colts tight end Dallas Clark, who's not exactly coming out of nowhere -- he's dropping the green flag to start the race today -- and wearing a gray Indianapolis Motor Speedway shirt. This is, he says, the first time he'd been here for the NASCAR race, seeing how the Colts are usually reporting to camp by this time.
He also had a few words to say about the collective bargaining agreement talks between the union and management, with a possible lockout looming when it all comes to a head next summer.
How much are the players thinking about all that at the moment?
"I don't think too much," Clark said. "Obviously we're aware of it, and we're trying to pay attention to what's going on. But it'll take its journey wherever it goes, and we're going to be OK with it."
For all you journalism students out there, this is what is known as a "non-commital" answer.
