Former Bellmont basketball player Austin Richie is getting a lot of looks by colleges in his recruitment.

The Lowell senior has gotten offers from Texas-El Paso, Louisiana Tech, Princeton, Valparaiso, Loyola of Chicago, IUPUI, Portland, Bucknell, American, Appalachian State, Navy, Lafayette, Fairfield, Dartmouth and Hartford.

His father, former Bellmont principal Adrian Richie, also said other offers could be in the works from Rice, Illinois State, Santa Clara, East Carolina, Eastern Illinois, Wisconsin-Green Bay and Eastern Kentucky.

Richie, who left Bellmont after his sophomore season, is the state's leading returning scorer at 28 points per game last season.

He is the youngest brother, with Nate playing at Drake and Aaron, a former Bellmont standout, playing at Central Michigan and IPFW.
