Statement issued Friday:
LaGrange – For the past 22 years, the television show “America’s Most Wanted,” with its host John Walsh, has helped the nation’s law enforcement efforts in capturing over 1,000 fugitives from justice by taking the cases to their nationwide television audience and asking for their help.
Today, according to Indiana State Police Detective Jeff Boyd, “America’s Most Wanted” has posted a LaGrange County fugitive on their website and is asking the public for their help in locating this man who is wanted in both Indiana and Michigan. “I know there are some worse people out there, but it would be great to get him off the streets” said Boyd.
Nathan Kent Lumbard, 28, who was last seen in LaGrange County, is a white male, standing between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall, and he weights between 150 and 160 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes. He is wanted in LaGrange County on the following charges:
-Aggravated Battery, Class B Felony
-Battery, Class C Felony
-Obstruction of Justice, Class D Felony
-Receiving Stolen Property, Class D Felony
-Failure to Appear
Authorities in both Sturgis and St. Joseph County, Michigan have a total of nine charges against Lumbard including assault, resisting or obstructing a police officer.
