County cash summit to air live

Allen County taxpayers will be able to watch the second annual county fiscal summit live.

The summit will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Omni Room on the second floor of the City-County Building.

The live broadcast will be available on Public Access Channel 58 on Comcast or 28 on Frontier.

Officials from local taxing units will meet to discuss future spending priorities and the effect property tax caps will have on 2011 revenue. A panel of local government officials will also share some “best practices” that allowed their offices to save money without cutting essential services.
