FORT WAYNE – The Allen County commissioners have begun posting copies of contracts on the county website.

As the commissioners approve contracts, the documents will be scanned and posted for public viewing at www.allencounty.us/contracts.

So far, only contracts from January and February are available, but more will be added.

Eventually, the commissioners’ staff plans to update the site weekly.

Under an ordinance the commissioners adopted this month, the county is required to post online expenses greater than $300 and contracts. The Allen County auditor previously began posting expenses, and those can be viewed at www.allencounty.us/expenditures.
