Danny Hope rarely allows himself time away from football.
But he got a chance to relax just before arriving for the Big Ten football media days in Chicago.
Hope flew back from Florida on Sunday afternoon and was in Chicago that evening.
Hope said he spent three or four days on a beach, walking and riding a bicycle, "trying to get in shape for camp."
He actually welcomed record-setting highs in temperature near the Melbourne, Fla., area on the East coast of the state, he said.
"I made a point to get out in that when it was really hot that way I wouldn't faint in front of the players in camp," he said with a smile. "So it was good."
