FORT WAYNE – Take it or bake it, its your choice.
For the past few months, Mama DeLucas, 714 E. Dupont Road, has given customers the option of having their pizza baked onsite or taking it home to bake themselves.
To promote that concept, the pizzeria is teaming with the onsite Subway for a limited-time offer.
Buy a large specialty pizza – such as spinach chicken pesto, butchers best or Hawaiian – or a large three-topping pizza, and get a free sub that would normally cost $5. You can order the sub then or get a coupon to pick it up later.
This offer is good through Labor Day.
Mama DeLucas has pre-made (unbaked) pizzas in a cooler, or customers can have one made while they wait. The redesigned store lets you watch your pizza being assembled, similar to the Subway concept.
The pizzeria also offers several sauces, including Alfredo, pesto, barbecue, ranch, Buffalo, mayonnaise and traditional with garlic, basil and oregano.
