I grew up drinking sun tea in the summer. A while ago, I heard that sun tea can grow bacteria along with your yummy beverage. Yuck.
It still seems wasteful to me to heat water on the stove, then make tea, then add tons of ice to cool it down for iced tea. So, I decided to try making sun tea in the fridge.
I put 5 cups of cold water and 5 tea bags in a pitcher, and left it overnight. Then, I squeezed out the tea bags and poured myself a glass. It was delicious. And easy. My favorite two words in the kitchen. More time for knitting, after all.
