On the field, off the field

Notre Dame had one receiver back at practice on Monday, but the team is being cautious with one of its top threats in the passing game.

Irish senior receiver Duval Kamara was practicing with the team Monday after having to sit out Saturday's opening practice.

Kelly said Kamara was held out of Saturday's practice because he didn't complete some paper work, but that was sorted out and the receiver was back with the team.

Tight end Kyle Rudolph is being eased into practice.

The junior tweaked his hamstring Saturday, and Kelly said the team is taking a cautious approach with the 6-6, 265-pounder

"It's OK, but I'm not going to push him until he's 110 percent," Kelly said. "I think he wants to practice, because we do a pretty good job of working guys out over there."
