    Lou Watson, who was an All-American and later coach at Indiana, died Thursday in Fairfax, Va. He was 88. Watson was an All-American in 1950 and coached at IU from 1966-1971.

IU to play at Evansville in 2011

The Indiana men's basketball team will travel to Evansville for a game at the city's new downtown area in November 2011. The date is pending, according to a City of Evansville news release . The 290,000 square-foot arena is set to open in late 2011.

"I have a great deal of respect for Coach Simmons and the Evansville program and we are excited to begin a series with them," IU coach Tom Crean said in a statement. "There is great support for the Hoosiers in the Evansville area and playing in the new arena in the 2011-12 season will be something special for the fans of both teams."
