Taking a look at left tackle

Andrew McDonald and Josh Hager are listed as No. 1 and No. 2 on IU's preseason depth chart at left tackle.

McDonald (6-foot-6, 304 pounds) appeared in eight games as a reserve tackle last year.

IU quarterback Ben Chappell referred to the senior as a "guy who has played quite a bit of football."

Hager appeared in five games last year. The 6-foot-9, 301-pound junior's action included against ranked foes Wisconsin and Penn State.

"Josh Hager had a great offseason," Chappell said. "He was at every workout in the summer. He's a big, strong guy."
