This weekend's column and podcast will feature bookmarks. My bookmark came out a little thicker than I anticipated, but it's a great, quick project. Double-knitting and Fibonacci stripes keep it interesting and it's a great stashbuster.

A friend and co-worker, Jaclyn Youhana, has been auctioning off handmade goods at her personal blog. The auction is raising funds for Elim Christian Services, a school for children with developmental disabilities which her brother Joey attends. The auction also coincides with Joey's 21st birthday, which is Aug. 16. Lara and I both donated items for the auction, but I wanted to highlight some of the other talent that donated their craft -- and these folks are from all over the country. Check out these super cool bangle bracelets designed for Joey's auction by Kate of Washington, D.C. -- Joyce
