Eyeing IU

Depth at cornerback

IU co-defensive coordinator/secondary coach Joe Palcic said six players are competing for the two starting spots at cornerback.

The group includes Richard Council, Adrian Burks, Lawrence Barnett, Matt Ernest and junior college transfers Andre Kates and Lenyatta Kiles.

"The first week we’ve given equal reps and give each person time verses the No. 1 receivers so we can truly see who is playing well and who is behind," Palcic said. "Richard Council has stood out, I brought junior college guys in to try to replace Richard. He won’t let me replace him. He’s playing really well."
