A matter of tempo

The big story out of the PGA today, at least here on the Blob, was not the bad juju of Dustin Johnson (A two-stroke penalty for grounding his club in a hazard? Isn't the whole course a hazard?), the agonies of poor Nick Watney or the failure, once more, of Tiger Woods to show up on Sunday at a major.

I mean, seriously. Eighteen holes in two hours, nine minutes? At a maneater like Whistling Straits? Without the assistance of either a cart or Jeff Gordon's Chevy?

That is some strong stuff. College football, take note.
