Injury update

Notre Dame is getting close to having its full compliment of tight ends back at practice.

Coach Brian Kelly said Kyle Rudolph, who has been slowed by an injured right hamstring, was doing more individual work Monday and is getting closer.

Mike Ragone, who missed practices last week after being treated for a heat-related illness, is also recovering and is close to being able to participate.

"Mike was in gear (Monday)," Kelly said. "He did some light running, a little individual. I think we will continue to move him forward. He felt pretty good (Monday)."

Irish offensive lineman Dan Wenger and Matt Romine also returned to practice Monday after sitting out Friday's afternoon practice and Saturday's practice with concussion symptoms.

Wenger and Romine didn't participate in contact drills, but Kelly said they should be full go soon.

"They are all progressing to the point that we will let that kind of take its course," Kelly said. "We are moving in the right direction."
