What’s hot

So many kids are talking and wearing SillyBandz.

Kids are obsessed with them. Recent reports say teachers hate the rubber-shaped bands; they say they are a distraction. Some schools have banned them.

The rubber bands come in shapes like animals, stars and sports.

Who knows when they’ll be out of fashion. Some store representatives think it might end at the beginning of this school year.

At Build-A-Bear Workshop in Glenbook Square, the store carries rubber bracelets called ZanyBandz at $4.95 a package. At the Decatur Walgreens, bands can be had for $1.99 each. The store has sparkly ones that glow in the dark and just regular. Who knows, SillyBandz and ZanyBandz may never go out of style.
