Fort Wayne Community Schools issued this news release about back-to-school nights:

Parents will get a chance to be the student as they visit their child's school during Fort Wayne Community Schools' annual back-to-school nights. At each school, parents will have the

opportunity to see where their children learn and play as they tour the schools, visit classrooms and meet teachers.

Many schools also combine the evening with an ice cream social, picnic, PTA event, flower show or other event. The elementary schools' flower shows are the results of students' hard work

over the summer. In the spring, the Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Department provides seed and materials for the planting project.
