A Kendallville man was killed early Monday after a car in which he was riding apparently ran a stop sign in rural LaGrange County, police said.
According to a written statement from the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department, James Tackett, 24, was in the front passenger seat of a 1998 Ford LXE going east on County Road 100 South about 4:15 a.m. when the car collided with another 1998 Ford going north on County Road 900 East.
Charges are pending, the statement said.
Those injured include the driver of Tackett’s car, James Handshoe, 24, of Avilla; and the driver of the other car, Dustin Davis, 27, of Hudson. None of the injuries were listed as life-threatening.
