Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly has emphasized the importance of his team, especially the offense, playing at a quick, efficient pace.
NBC's broadcast of Notre Dame games are notorious for being slow and drawn out.
But fans do not have to worry about the Irish's plan being altered by their television coverage, according to Kelly.
"We've talk to NBC about the way we like play game versus how it was played in the past," Kelly said. "Those conversations have taken place. There is certainly a need for us to address it. We are working with NBC to make certain they get what they need out of it from an advertising standpoint. But also as the network that carries Notre Dame that we are able to do things we need to do as well"
Kelly declined to go into specifics he, Notre Dame athletic director Jack Swarbrick and NBC executives have had, but the coach said the university and network have worked together to find a middle ground.
"I'm very confident we are going to be able to do the things we have to do in terms of pushing the tempo without having to go to a commercial break," Kelly said.
