Counting down

Despite losing to Great Lakes 6-3, the TinCaps saw their magic number fall to one. That's because West Michigan topped Lansing 2-1.

Any combination of a TinCaps win or a Lansing loss equaling or exceeding one in the last 10 games clinches a playoff spot. The number also includes Fort Wayne's tie-breaker edge over Lansing (15-6 in head-to-head meetings).

Fort Wayne could wrap up a playoff spot Saturday if it wins at Great Lakes or Lansing loses.
