Two professional bowling tournaments will be held Saturday and Sunday at Georgetown Bowl.
The 25th annual Fort Wayne Open and PBA Senior Open will include more than 150 professional bowlers with $18,000 in prize money on the line.
The tournament starts Saturday with the A squads bowling eight games at 9 a.m., with the B squads bowling eight games at 4 p.m. On Sunday, match play begins at 9 a.m. with the round of 16. There will be practice sessions from 3 to 5 p.m. today.
First place in the Fort Wayne open is $4,000, while the winner of the senior division wins $3,000.

Arraignment set in Clemens case
Officials at the federal courthouse in Washington, D.C., say that seven-time Cy Young winner Roger Clemens will be arraigned Monday afternoon on criminal charges. The former pitcher will appear before U.S. District Judge Reggie Walton for allegedly lying to Congress about his use of steroids.
FOOTBALL
Irish freshman cleared to play
Notre Dame freshman linebacker Justin Utupo was cleared by the NCAA to play this year, coach Brian Kelly said. The Lakewood (Calif.) High School products eligibility was under scrutiny this week. Kelly also said linebacker Anthony McDonald, who hyperextended his right knee this week, went from doubtful to questionable for the season opener against Purdue on Sept. 4. Also, cornerback E.J. Banks, who had left the team, will return on the scout team Tuesday. Banks is no longer on scholarship, Kelly said.
Clarett must have support system
The commissioner of the UFL says the Omaha Nighthawks must have a support system in place for Maurice Clarett before the former Ohio State star is allowed to play football. Michael Huyghue said that Clarett wont be thrown to the wolves. An Ohio judge has given Clarett permission to leave the state to attend a workout with the Nighthawks. A team spokesman says the workout hasnt been scheduled.
USC loses trophy
Because of its NCAA violations, Southern California has been stripped of the 2004 Grantland Rice Trophy, which is awarded by the Football Writers Association of America to the nations top college football team. The BCS has said it will likely force USC to vacate its title but wont act until the NCAA hears the Trojans appeal.
Illini safety hurt
Illinois safety Supo Sanni is out for the season after tearing his right Achilles tendon. Sanni played in 11 games for the Illini last season.
GOLF
Fort Wayne golfer 2nd at senior event
Perry Dotson of The Players Club rallied in the final round of the Indiana PGA Senior Championship to move up from seventh place to champion with a 4-under 141. Dotson shot a 68 on the last round of the two-day tournament to beat out Fort Waynes Quinn Griffing (142). Griffing, who was tied with Dotson at 4-under before a bogey on No. 17, missed an 8-foot putt on No. 18 that would have forced a playoff.
HIGH SCHOOLS
2 area students on IHSAA committee
Two area student-athletes will be on the 2010-11 IHSAA Student Advisory Committee. Among the 20 selected were Canterbury senior Nick Kolar and Warsaw senior Scott Smyth. The committee is set up similar to that of the IHSAA Board of Directors.
