Wide receiver Dre Muhammad, a Harding graduate, will not play in Thursday's opener against Towson because of an ankle injury.

The Hoosiers will already be without starting receiver Tandon Doss. True freshman Kofi Hughes' status remains up in the air as he has a cast on his right hand after a thumb injury.

"He will dress part of the 70 travel squad," IU coach Bill Lynch said of Hughes. "We want him to be fully involved. It's a game-time and flow of the game decision."
