Two people were critically injured Sunday when the car they were riding in flipped several times, according to Allen County police.
The crash was reported just after 7:30 p.m. Sundayin the 5700 block of West Washington Center Road, just east of Flaugh Road, on the county’s northwest side. A Chevrolet Corvette was heading east on Washington Center when it left the road and flipped several times, police said Monday.
A man and a woman were in the car, and both were ejected. It was unclear who was driving, and as of Monday night police had not yet identified the occupants. Both the man and the woman were taken by helicopter to Parkview Hospital with critical injuries, police said.
Witnesses told police the car appeared to be traveling at high speed just before the wreck. The crash is under investigation by the Fort Wayne-Allen County Crash Team.
