Statement issued Wednesday:
INDIANAPOLIS – The Association for Operations Management (APICS) has named Ivy Tech Community College for its prestigious Partner of the Year Award for outstanding contributions to the APICS Central Indiana Chapter. The award recognizes Ivy Tech for its close working relationship in providing a broad course selection to students seeking certifications in manufacturing and service industries across the entire supply chain.
In presenting the award to Ivy Tech, Central Indiana Chapter President Jim Malone said, “In today’s competitive job market, credentials help differentiate job candidates from other potential employees. When students invest in their futures by earning the APICS Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) designation, it signifies an important career choice that provides an edge over the competition.”
Ivy Tech President Thomas J. Snyder noted, “APICS certification courses are offered throughout the state to conveniently provide students with training specific to their career interests and job opportunities. This partnership with APICS helps students achieve their goals, establish careers and contribute to the overall economic advancement of their lives and communities.”
