A man claiming to have a gun robbed a south-side drugstore of prescription painkillers, according to a Fort Wayne police report. The man approached the pharmacy counter in Walgreens at 222 E. Pettit Ave.No one was injured during a fire at a northeast-side restaurant early Tuesday.
The blaze was reported just after 7 a.m. Tuesday at Hopsing’s at 6214 Stellhorn Road. When firefighters arrived they saw flames coming through the roof of the one-story building.
The building sustained heavy damage to the roof and medium damage to the ceiling and interior, firefighters said.
No one was at the restaurant at the time. The cause is under investigation.
