Indiana voters going online to register to vote

INDIANAPOLIS — The secretary of state's office says more than 4,000 Indiana residents have gone online to register to vote or update registration information since the state started offering the online service July 1.

Citizens must have a valid Indiana driver's license or state-issued ID card to use the online registration form at www.indianavoters.com. The National Association of Secretaries of State says Indiana is one of only eight states in the country that allow voters to go online to register to vote.

Oct. 4 is the deadline for Indiana residents to register to vote in the Nov. 2 general election.
