Anniversary celebration

Ternae Jordan will celebrate his 25th pastoral anniversary from Oct. 10 to 17 at Mount Canaan Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tenn. Jordan served at Greater Progressive Baptist Church for 15 years. A Remembrance Book/Enjoying the Journey will be presented to him Oct. 17. An Iona healing Mass will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Community, 4120 Webster St.

Magician and comedian Jim Barron will perform at 7 p.m. Sept. 11 at Faith Baptist Church, 6600 Trier Road.

“When Faith Meets Reason” will be discussed at the next Jesus Study Group at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Fort Wayne Unitarian Universalist Meeting House, 5310 Old Mill Road.

Help in dealing with stresses caused by the economy will be discussed at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Mocha Lounge of Lifetree Cafe, 6313 Covington Road.

Women’s conference

“Designed by God – Defined by Character” is the theme of a women’s conference
