Nate Freiman was 7 for 7 with three doubles and three RBI in the TinCaps doubleheader split Friday against the Silver Hawks in South Bend.
Fort Wayne won the second game 5-2 after losing 2-1 in the opening game. Both were seven-inning games.
Freiman had four hits, including two doubles, in the nightcap to spark Fort Waynes 11-hit attack. Freiman had an RBI single in the first inning and an RBI double in the seventh.
Noah Mull (3-0) pitched 1 2/3 innings in relief, striking out two and allowing one hit, to get the victory.
Fort Wayne had six hits, three by Freiman, in the opener.
Freimans RBI double in the sixth cut the lead to 2-1, and Danny Payne led off the seventh with a single and moved to second on a walk with two outs. But Jason Hagerty grounded out to end the game.
Matt Lollis (5-2) took the loss for the TinCaps, giving up six hits and two runs in 4 1/3 innings.
The team returns home for its final homestead of the regular-season tonight and anticipates welcoming its 400,000th fan of the 2010 season. The franchise has never had that many fans.
