Washington outfielder Nyjer Morgan was suspended and fined an undisclosed amount by Major League Baseball for three separate incidents over the past week. And six players, the managers of Washington and Florida and a coach were cited after a review of Wednesday night’s brawl in Miami.

For Florida, pitcher Chris Volstad was suspended six games, pitcher Alex Sanabia five, first baseman Gaby Sanchez three and manager Edwin Rodriguez one. Volstad and Rodriguez also were fined, as was pitcher Jose Veras. For Washington, pitcher Doug Slaten and third base coach Pat Listach were suspended three games and manager Jim Riggleman two. Riggleman and Listach also were fined.
