Big weekend

Expecting a crowd

Notre Dame is currently getting ready to play host for five uncommitted football players – George Atkinson, Josh Atkinson, Amir Carlisle, Wayne Lyons and Stephon Tuitt – and six players – Kyle Brindza, Jalen Brown, Brad Carrico, Justice Hayes, Anthony Rabasa and Bishop Dwenger’s Tony Springmann – who already committed to the Irish for Saturday’s game against Michigan, according to reports.

Coach Brian Kelly said it is important for potential recruits to have a game day experience at Notre Dame.

“I think it is important,” Kelly said of the importance of the weekend in regards to recruiting. “Winning helps it; there is no question about that. The experience at Notre Dame, getting a chance to be around a game day atmosphere is really the most important thing for these young men, who are arguably going to be making the biggest decision of their lives.”
