A wind ban is under consideration for long doubles and triples on the Indiana Toll Road, starting at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Toll Road officials said gusts of 45 mph or more are possible through the afternoon and evening.
The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for all of northeast Indiana, including the Toll Road area, saying that sustained winds of 30 p.m. to 40 mph are possible today.
Travel is expected to become increasingly difficult and dangerous, Toll Road officials said. Motorists in high-profile vehicles should use caution until the winds subside, according to a Toll Road written statement issued this morning.
