NCAA run helps Butler upgrade 2010-11 schedule

INDIANAPOLIS — Butler's run to the national men's basketball championship game is paying big dividends with its schedule.

This season, the Bulldogs will appear on the ESPN networks 10 times, including the Dec. 4 title game rematch with Duke. They also travel to Hawaii for a Christmas week tournament and host Stanford on Dec. 18 — a game that will be broadcast by CBS.

Butler also plays at Louisville on Nov. 16, the first game in the Cardinals' new arena, at defending Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference champ Siena on Nov. 23

The Bulldogs open the season Nov. 13 against Marian, another school located in Indianapolis.

Butler will play four NCAA tourney teams and could play two more during the tourney in Honolulu.
