Fort Wayne defeated Great Lakes 1-0 to take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-three first round series. Here are some of the highlights.

Biggest at-bat: Everett Williams provided all of the offense with his solo home run in the fifth inning.

Biggest out: The Loons placed runners on first and third with no outs in the fourth. Fort Wayne pitcher Matt Lollis worked out of the jam, with the last out coming by striking out Brian Ruggiano.

Best defensive play: Right fielder Daniel Meeley made a running catch to end a seventh-inning Loons' threat.

"The biggest thing is to stay focused. One game is one game," TinCaps manager Jose Flores said. "Every game we play from here out is the biggest game of the year. The guys understand it is not over. Hopefully the momentum carries over."
