Senate candidates set for 3 October debates

INDIANAPOLIS – The three candidates on Indiana’s ballot for this fall’s U.S. Senate election will meet in three televised one-hour debates during October.

The Indiana Debate Commission announced Wednesday that the debates would be held Oct. 11 at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, Oct. 22 at IPFW and Oct. 25 at Vincennes University.

The debates will include Republican Dan Coats, Democrat Brad Ellsworth and Libertarian Rebecca Sink-Burris.

The nonpartisan commission said the public is invited to submit possible questions for the debates to its website at www.indianadebatecommission.com. Times and ticketing information for the debates haven’t yet been set.
