Indiana continues to monitor the progress of guard Maurice Creek as he recovers from fracturing his left knee last December. Creek led the team in scoring (16.4 points per game) when he went down with the season-ending injury Dec. 28 against Bryant.
"Maurice is doing a great job. If anything, we've slowed him down a little bit to make sure we understand we are not trying to win games in September or October, we are trying to win them in the middle of the winter," Indiana coach Tom Crean said during a visit to Fort Wayne on Thursday. "For him, he'd like to go 100 percent, but we are not trying to do that. We want to make sure that he heals properly and that he is continuing to get stronger; that everything comes alive the way it certainly appears to be with his health and bring him along moderately."
