A probation visit at a woman’s home at the south end of Lake Wawasee ended in several drug charges.
A probation visit was conducted by the Marshall County Probation Department and the Indiana State Police at the home in the 9800 block of 4th of July Avenue in Syracuse on Wednesday.
State police said the home visit to Scarlett Murray, 36, uncovered marijuana, drug paraphernalia and nearly 30 grams of methamphetamine at $130 a gram.
Murray is on probation through Marshall County.
When they arrived, two men were there. Scott Landis, 42, of Warsaw, had a warrant for his arrest out of Kosciusko County. The second, David Skaggs, 43, was living with Murray, state police said in a written statement.
Skaggs and Murray were arrested on charges of possession and dealing methamphetamine. All three were taken to the Kosciusko County Jail.
Officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department and the Kosciusko County Drug Task Force also assisted in the investigation.
