Indiana extends lead

Tandon Doss scored on a 9-yard run with 1:33 to go in the third quarter, extending Indiana's lead to 35-13 against Akron.

The Hoosiers scoring drive went 87 yards in 10 plays. The series looked to stall at the Zips' 29, but IU decided to go for it on fourth-and-10.

Quarterback Ben Chappell completed a 20-yard pass to Damarlo Belcher for a first down. It was the second fourth-down conversion for Indiana in the game.

Chappell has completed 19 of 27 passes for 276 yards and four touchdowns. Belcher, a North Side graduate, has four catches for 57 yards.
