Goodman moves up depth chart

Former Bishop Dwenger standout John Goodman will have a chance to contribute more for Notre Dame this weekend.

The junior receiver was moved to the Irish's first punt returner option, according to the depth chart released Monday.

Goodman caught five passes for 59 yards in Saturday's loss to Stanford.

He handled punt returns against Michigan State after Armando Allen dislocated a finger Sept. 18. Goodman returned four punts for 25 yards against the Spartans.
