Get fit, get a ticket

Run, don't walk, to the next Mad Ants basketball game.

Or at least that's the hope of the Mad Ants Get Fit Challenge, a program that encourges children and their parents to become more physically active.

To help fight childhood obesity, the Mad Ants program encourages students in participating schools to keep track of their physical activities for one month this season. Kids who have completed 30 minutes of activity outside of school for 30 days will receive a free ticket to a Mad Ants NBA D-League game. The team will also participate in a Get Fit assembly at all participating schools.

For information as to how a school can participate in the challenge, contact Garrett Martz at 469-4667, ext. 107.
