The elusive Tim Haun

Finally, we know what Tim Haun is up to these days. He has shown up on the training camp roster for the ECHL's Idaho Steelheads.

He is currently the only goalie on their roster, but don't read too much into that yet, as the team is an affiliate of the Dallas Stars.

Some goalies will trickle down.

But Dallas does have two AA-level affiliates, one in the Central Hockey League, too. That bodes well for Haun's chances of making the club.

Haun was the IHL's Goaltender of the Year with the Komets last season, but he was replaced by Kevin Reiter.

Why did that happen, you ask? No one will go on the record about this, but there were some players who voiced to Komets management that they weren't in favor of bringing him back. It's my belief that it weighed heavily in management's decision to make a change.

I always found Haun good to deal with. Although eccentric, he worked pretty hard at his craft and made huge strides between his first and second seasons with the team.

And let's not forget his amazing performance in Game 4 of the finals last season against Flint.
