K's cut Pawlowski

The Komets cut defenseman Brad Pawlowski today, bringing their roster down to 22 players.

They need to get to 19 before Saturday's season opener against the Rapid City Rush.

There's still no word on who, if anyone, the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets will assign to Fort Wayne.

That Pawlowski is gone bodes well for forward Olivier Legault, though, since they were the two basically vying for the job of enforcer.

However, again, we don't know who the Blue Jackets are sending.
