Monk to be in Eagles' lineup

Churubusco senior quarterback/defensive back Kyle Monk will be in the starting lineup for Friday's key NECC matchup with Lakeland.

Monk hurt his wrist twice in the last couple of weeks, including last week's 52-38 loss at Fairfield. But he had X-rays Monday, and there are no broken bones.

Eagles coach Lee Etzler said Monk will be held out of contact drills in practice, but should be ready to play full-time Friday.

Monk initially injured the wrist against Culver Academy two weeks ago, but didn't get X-rays.

He got hit on the same wrist against the Falcons. He played in pain until halftime and then played on defense only through the third quarter. Monk was taken out of the game in the fourth quarter.
