Dwenger pride

Notre Dame’s John Goodman, a receiver, and Tyler Eifert, a tight end, took time out of preparing for Western Michigan on Saturday to weigh in on a big game Friday in Fort Wayne.

The two players’ alma mater, Bishop Dwenger, takes on Bishop Luers in a battle of unbeaten teams that are trying to win the SAC title in the annual Battle of the Bishops.

Here on their predictions for the game (no surprise on who they picked to win):

Goodman: “I love the matchup, and I think that Dwenger is a good team and Luers is a good team. I have a lot of respect for them, but Dwenger is going to come out big on this one – 42-14.”

Eifert: “Obviously, Dwenger needs to hang onto the bell for another year. It is going to be a tight game.”
